AC/DC in KC 2010

This was the second time I saw AC/DC and only about 15 years in between. It was the Black Ice tour and was at the Sprint Center in KC. The Sprint Center is located in the Power and Light District which is a really nice area downtown with a lot of restaurants and places to lounge around. The weather was perfect so the whole pre-show atmosphere had a good vibe to it. We may be old rockers but we were going to have some fun!
The show was packed and AC/DC is such a pro band that there was no way it wasn’t going to be a good show. The video intro and stage prop was absolutely incredible. I had never seen anything like it and would love to have seen that again.

The band did all the hits and could have done another full show of songs that they didn’t play. I would have to say the show wasn’t as good as the first time I saw AC/DC but that’s not really a comment on the their performance but based more on my seats. In 95 it was pre-internet and you had to camp out to get good seats and I ended up with 8th row. 2010 it is ‘premium seats’ and ticket broker bullshit so I paid about $70 to be at the furthest end of the arena on the highest level of seating. Thank you corporate America!

If you know AC/DC you know what song was being played when this picture was taken.
